If you like festive seasonal crap

If you like festive seasonal crap then I am duty bound to tell you that now is the time of year that Celestial Seasonings puts out their special holiday themed teas. There's Gingerbread Spice, Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride, Last Year's Fruit Cake, Cranberry Frostbite and Fuck, Where'd I Put The Wrapping Paper. I may have made up those last three but the first two exist and I'm telling you, they are whimsy in a cup. Need more proof? I offer the following good cheer filled picture essay.

Gingerbread Spice tea plus...

a cup, plus...

a willingness to enjoy festive tea...

I mean a real willingness, the kind evidenced by crossing one of your eyes...

and making out with your cup...

Leads to this.

The End.

Alison,

WOW, maybe we are kindred spirits:0

I love that Gingerbread Spice Tea too--I bought about 4 boxes of it last year at Rite Aid before it sold out.

That and EggNog Lattes are two of my favorite things that come out about this time every year.

My Aim Is True,

Scott

Alison, you look like a kid it those pics. Like, you don't look old enough to buy tea without proper id.

Excellent photos, Alison!! I agree with Toddrod - you look like a second year coed making tea in her dorm room.

And I hereby nominate "The End" as the Alison blog photo-of-the-year. You look so happy! But then, tea will do that to you.

(Seriously - maybe we should have an Alison blog photo contest where we could all pick our favorite pictures from 2008!)

The pictures remind me of my younger sister Mary. When we were growing up, Mary loved this special tea. It was like Strawberry Sassafras something or other tea... I don't remember. Anyway, we always had to have it in the house or believe me there'd be hell to pay. And even when we went to a restaurant, my parents had to order a cup of hot water so Mary could make her special tea.

Meanwhile, I was downing gallons of Mountain Dew. For a while I even developed a slight Tennessee twang. Mary still drinks tea, but I don't think she's quite the tea-snob she used to be.

Is that a ghost behind you by the door/window?

Show of hands fellas. How many of you are wishing you're reincarnated as Alison's tea cup after you die?

I'm typing this sentence with one hand.....

Because my other hand is in the air people. Dirty, dirty minds.

Joe, the second to the last is my favorite. That's the look were every guys simply gives in and says "yes" to whatever is asked of them.

New car, new house, maybe a summer home in Maine. Ballroom dancing, dogs, kids, a trip to Hawaii in January. Men are powerless to deny them.

Brett, I know!

It looks like Alison is saying, "I really, really want to go to Hawaii. Won't you please take me there?"

And of course you say, "Is tonight too soon?"
