The beeping menace

I mentioned a cheap digital watch I use to time things in the last post. Here it is. Still accidentally set to wake me up at three am until the day I die.

Is there any indication my suggestion worked? Are you able to at least change the alarm's set time to something within, say the next few minutes, so you can test my suggestion or another one?

I set my iPhone to 3am to watch Red Eye when you are on it. Is that what you were doing? ;)

Funny,I have that watch but in blue. Also I use it to time travel not as an alarm clock.

Haha, where did you get that watch at? You should definitely wear that in public!

What is that over there, a cigarette? A piece of chalk?

Just try pressing and holding a button or two simultaneously and something should give.

There is a beep.

I've had watches like that before. I just put them in the drawer until the battery dies.

BTW, good job on Red Eye last night. You were really good.

That's the ugliest watch I've ever seen any chick own. Yeah yeah, I know you have a lot of excuses, but it's just ugly, and you own it Alison! :D

Did it work?

The suspense + the drama + plus the anticipation. All describes the Beeping Menace saga.

You blog is working this morning! There was some problem yesterday because I couldn't bring up your blog or Teds. It just hung and eventually timed out.

I've seen Alison wear some nice watches on Red Eye, so I'm sure this one is only for around the house usage. At least I hope so.

If WFG's suggestion didn't work, I say take a hammer to it (and obviously post video of the action). There are enough annoying things in the world without an ugly watch that won't shut up. Plus, there's always a little satisfaction in destroying things!

Your appearance on Red Eye always improves the show.

From a generic 4 button digital watch manual: In normal time mode press the bottom right button to display alarm time. Hold the bottom right button and press the top right button to deselect alarm symbol and chime symbol.

Unrelated to this post, I noticed your tweet on the side, pondering which would be the lamest air instrument to play, spoons, tambourine, marimba, etc.

On the contrary, spoons would be the absolute perfect air instrument to play, and it is brilliant that you thought of that.

I assume it didn't come with instructions. Have you tried to find any online?

Okay Alison....put the watch back on your Barbie and step back!

My favorite air instrument is The Gong...however people often get in the way of my playing my air gong at the most inopportune moments..usually at a bar after several shots of tequila.

My concisous often talks to me in morse code....so I have news for you..the beeping you hear is not coming from the watch.
