I think it was a compliment?

"maybe you really should do stand-up... because you tell so many stories about the retarded little things that happen to you."

I *have* always wanted to know what the deal with airline food was...

Also, please don't do a version of the Aristocrats in this blog. I'm very impressionable.

I think prop comedy is an under served segment of stand-up comedy...also is ventriloquism considered prop comedy? Think about it...

I've done stand-up. It's nerve-wrecking and underpaying. Skip it.

Hmmm, I've never thought of you as a stand up. However, you are an extremely confident woman so you could pull it off! With your quick wit, you could handle hecklers! Have you ever seen how Joe Rogan handles hecklers? He is funny!

Amy Schumer is very good at comedy, but she's kinda nuts (in a sexy way). Maybe she could be your mentor! Can you get me a date with Amy Schumer?

Hmmm.. at first I thought it was a negative comment, but then I realized the person isn't calling YOU retarded, (s)he is saying retarded things happen to you - which is true (like the guy spilling your coffee outside of Starbucks). In fact, retarded things like that happen to all of us.

So, yes - I'd say it's a compliment.

Happy May 1! (although I can't believe we're actually in May already.)
