If I had a pet puggle...

I would approach pensive people and say, "Puggle for your thoughts?"

You're trying to say, that if you had a puggle you'd want to get rid of it at the earliest opportunity? Just askin'.

Hey
Alison,
don't
you
really
hate
it
when
people
leave
long
comments
written
horizontally
on
your
blog?
I
think
it's
stupid
and
I'll
never
do
it
to
you
because
you're
a
good
friend
of
mine.
Have
a
great
day!

I meant it as a twist on "Penny for your thoughts?" But in truth I actually might want to get rid of it. I'm not a puggle fan although I saw the most ADORABLE puggle puppies in a store window yesterday. They were the size of large burritos. Not even that. Medium burritos. I would never trade those ones for thoughts.

I like that "puggle for your thoughts." My response would be "no" of course, but with a laugh. I'm not a fan of puggles either. Dogs? Yes, big time. Puggles, just those little bit too big heads on the small bodies. I could see that at my family reunions.
Maybe if they had wind chimes.

No, you would just eat it. Like a medium burrito.

After a little research I found that the phrase "A penny for your thoughts" first appears in a book written by John Heywood in 1546. The phrase may have been used before then, but that's the first usage that can be documented.

Heywood's book was reprinted in 1906. A 1906 penny would be worth about 36 cents today. So... 36 cents for your thoughts?

Whatever happened to the proposal to do away with pennies? That idea was going around not too many years ago and it seemed like it might actually happen. Then we could get rid of all those little penny dishes in every store in the country.

Hmm, I couldn't agree more. I have three purebred Chinese Pugs. Mixing them with a completely opposite type of breed as in the Beagle was a retarded experiment. P.S. You can see them on my Activity Pit site www.theactivitypit.ning.com/Lil_Gemini
