I can't sleep

Stupid jet lag and time change. But the real winner is you, blog readers, because I thought I'd use my inability to go to sleep to make a list of things I could be doing with this time! Here goes:

1) making a list of things I could be doing instead of sleeping
2) wishing I were sleeping
3) looking at the clock and thinking about how many hours it is until I have to be up
4) counting stuff
5) not sheep!
6) waiting for my eyes to adjust to the dark
7) wishing I were sleeping
8) being repetitive
9) repeating myself
10) oh I did not
11) no, I did
12) I see that now
13) so sleepy
14) kinda have to go to the bathroom
15) going to the bathroom
16) coming back

Your list looks a lot like my "To Do" list I write on my days off.

Except #'s 14, 15, & 16- I do that when I go out drinking.

I can't sleep either.
I always thought you were kinda funny.
I don't think I ever liked your band, but I can't remember the name so I can't really say.
Fender, right? I mean, all around for you.
Isn't it creepy to have people write you shit?
I think I know some of the guys that post on here a lot. Some of them are up and coming in the industry and are just waiting for the right moment to spring this information on you (that they are somebody you should give a shit about) because it's their best, only shot with you. Watch for it. Clock work. Have fun with it and work them hard (because they are actually just assholes).

Why would you do this to yourself? I think I can write clever too, but this shit is so fuckin weird. Don't you wanna have a family like your own sometime soon? I dunno. I guess its a different world.

weed.

what, should I be anonymous to rate a posting, or was the other stuff just really obnoxious?

Yeah, that really sux when you can't sleep. And it's even worse when you finally get to sleep 20 minutes before you have to get up.

I don't know if you've ever tried it, Alison, but I've taken Melatonin occasionally to help me sleep. People who travel a lot sometimes take it to help deal with jet lag.

It's not a sleeping pill per se, and I've never felt drowsey the next day after I've taken it.

Another good episode of RE this morning. Julia Allison was scheduled to be on, but she wasn't.

I can see this is post is a cry for help! J/K

Dr. Goodlove's advice....never ever ever take a sleeping pill! That is the worst thing you could ever do. I'm sure with your crazy schedule that it would be tempting but don't!.

Next buy the absolutely best bed you can afford. Always exercise in the late afternoon. I typically run 2 mi. between 2 - 4 pm. Make sure you take daily multi-vitamin. Try not to eat or drink too many fluids late at night. Turn the computer off and read a book before you want to go to sleep. I could go on and on but suffice to say, I worked so much shift work through the years, I had to study the art of sleep of which I'm proud to have mastered. Oh, did I forget to mention that you should quite your job so you don't have the stress of getting up early?
