Got back from practicing a little while ago
My wrist hurts and so do my fingertips. I haven't played in so long that my calluses are all but gone. Yami (bass) told me I'd be amazed at how it would all come back to me but I was more amazed at how rusty I was and how I feel like it's all in there, but I'm having a little trouble accessing it. ("It" being the memory of how the songs go.) Still, it was unbelievably fun to play again, and will be even more fun this evening when we play with our old drummer (we practiced with our friend Jodey from Supernova, who not only is letting us borrow his gear, but who kindly-yet-sternly made us practice the break of a song repeatedly until we nailed it. )

Way to do your thang' Alison. I enjoyed the Supernova thingie. Mind boggling/juggling. Well, I'm checking' out for the evening. But first, I'm gonna enjoy my Macaroni&Cheese© with tuna smothrd in ketchup. You may laugh, but that is a culinary delight. mmm. Also, I'm having shoe-string potatoes. Night Night, don't let the bed bugs bite.

Another great Page Six Magazine this week, Alison! I went to the store a little earlier this time (around 7 a.m.) and there were still quite a few copies of The NY Post on the stand.
I love the photos of Rashida Jones! I haven't read the article yet. I wish I could go see Laura Benanti in Gypsy. The movie version with Natalie Wood and Rosalind Russell is a favorite of mine. I once went to see Gypsy at a local theatre, and it was really well done. It's a fantastic play.
Have fun at the wedding and the reception today! Let us know how it goes!
I like story tellin'. I'd like to share one from a southern perspective. My friends and I went night fishin': Redneck style, nothing fancy. We loaded up the john boat, the one with the serial #'s on the side. Well, we went on the creek where you can't use the outboard motor, just a trolling motor, cause it's stumpy. Keep in mind you have to use a spot-light to navigate. Well, we had a pretty good harvest. We didn't keep the fish. We took them to some of our other friends because we're lazy and don't like to clean fish.

P.S. We have a joke amongst ourselves that we call "fish stories." Meaning everytime we tell a story about fish, the size of the fish always gets bigger and bigger.
P.S.S. Hope you enjoyed your getaway Alison.
