Blog readers, I need your help!

I'm like a baby bird, so please regurgitate into my mouth any lines of dialogue from TV shows or news programs or commercials or anything you can think of involving the word "Dave" or "David." For example:

"The tests came back positive, Dave, you have..." OR

"DAVE, LOOK OUT!" OR

"Hola, donde esta Dave?"

etcetera. Please also include where the line came from. I will be forever indebted to you and by the way, I don't actually have a list of favorite commenters. YOU ARE ALL MY FAVORITE.

- Toby Keith from the song
"I'm Not as Good As I Once Was"

"Why do you call yourself Voltron, Dave?"
-Cathy from the movie "Hot Rod"

"You know, Dave, you might be a lefty."
-Artie from the movie "Beerfest"

"David, you hated him for killing your parents. You see, what none of us did know, what none of us could know, was that David's parents were trampled to death at a Coconut Pete concert."

To borrow a line from Will Ferrell's classic short film " The Landlord" starring Pearl.

"Dave, the tests came back positive... you're gay"

This is a tough task but fortunately on the night shift I have some time...now if you pull up www.tv.com

You will see a search tab. I typed in the comedy The War at Home which has a main character named Dave. Then click on the episodes tab and it will have a shit load of quotes and dialogue for whatever episode you want (I think you can even expand the dialogue box as well).

Example:
The War at Home
Episode: The Empire Spanks Back
Episode Number: 8 Season Num: 1 First Aired: Sunday November 27, 2005

Vicky: Um, Dave? I'm pretty sure if you asked them, they wouldn't consider you their best friend. In fact, not even a "top five" friend.

The War at Home
Gimme a Break (2)
Episode Number: 12 Season Num: 1 First Aired: Sunday January 29, 2006

Andrea: Dave, I'm gonna tell you what someone in my grief-support group said to me. The best way to get over someone...

Dave: Yeah?

Andrea: Is to get under someone.

----

You should be able to get a crap load of Dave or David stuff here, especially with this show!

Good luck, hopefully you will share where all this Dave stuff ends up!

Tons of Dave lines in 2001 A Space Odyssey, Hal the evil computer talked to and argued with Dave the whole movie, great lines in there with/about and way too many to mention (mostly because I am lazy today). ie: I'm sorry Dave I'm afraid I cant do that!

"YOU ARE ALL MY FAVORITE"

Alison is so sweet that people get cavities just from looking at her.

When I was growing up and Mom said that to us 6 kids, I knew she was lying - but I think Alison is telling the truth.

The first Dave reference I think of is from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Here's a link to a lot of the HAL quotes: tinyurl.com/6cecg

Some examples: "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.",
"Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.",
"Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this."

I'll try to think of others...

I think I'm sleepwalking right now, but somehow I'm a tad coherrent. The first thing that popped into my head was a line from Eminem's song, "My Name Is." Here's the line: This guy at White Castle asked for my autograph
So I signed it: 'Dear Dave, thanks for the support,
A**HOLE!'

Yeah, It's a little rough. Two other people come to mind, Dave Thomas (r.i.p.) the founder of Wendy's©, and also Super Dave Osbourne, the pseudo stuntman. I don't have any actual lines or anything from them, but maybe that can help you in some sort of way?

Alison, you might also want to do some searches in IMDB. Here's a link to their search page: tinyurl.com/2baxkx

Okay, nothing like a glass of Dr.Pepper© and some cheese toast to get the noggin goin'. Here's a commercial thingie I found. Not sure if this is a national food chain or not, but here goes: Can you hear it? It's beckoning you to break out of your daily routine and have a little fun. Ok, a lot of fun. We have amazing food, two fully-stocked bars, and a midway bursting with games. So grab your friends and head to Dave & Buster's.

Æ.

P.S. I'm all over this Dave thingie, I like "scavenger hunts" so to speak.

P.S.S. I bought the newer Evanascence cd yesterday. It's been documented how much I like them. I have it playing now. It's my motivation. My fav. on their? "Call me When your Sober." interesting huh? followed by "Lithium." Okay enough Wah, Wah, Wah, Blah, Blah, Blah. I have research to do.

Well, I'm not sure if Dave/David have to be included in this or not, but here's some quotes from a few Dave's.

Dave Chappelle: "I'm Rick James, bi**h."

David Banner: "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

There's also a rapper named David Banner, but unfortunately/fortunately all his lyrics are a bit over the top and not suitable to list.

Here's a few lines from the Beastie Boys', "Rhymin' and Stealin'":

I've been drinking my rum - a Def son of a gun
I fought the law and I cold won
Black Beard's weak - Moby Dick's on the tick
'Cause I pull out the jammy and squeeze off six
My pistol is loaded - I shot Betty Crocker
Deliver Colonel Sanders down to Davey Jones' locker
Rhymin' and stealin' in a drunken state
And I'll be rockin' my rhymes all the way to Hell's gate.

Man, all that just to get to Davey Jones' locker. I just think you needed to get the full flavor of it. I also looked up David Bowie, but didn't really find any good nuggets of info. about him.

Here's an excerpt from Herman Melville's "Moby Dick." heh, heh, heh.

"There was young Nat Swaine, once the bravest boat-header out of all Nantucket and the Vineyard; he joined the meeting, and never came to good. He got so frightened about his plaguy soul, that he shrinked and sheered away from the whales, for fear of after-claps, in case he got stove and went to Davy Jones.

Æ.

P.S. There's a ton of Davy Jones references, but I'll just let that rest with this one I just posted.

Okay, just one more Dave/David thingie, then I think I would have done my part.

David Kucinich: " I once saw a U.F.O."

Note* That probably isn't verbatim, but you get the gist.
Another Note* gist sounds like an awful word for some strange reason.
On a side Note* There really isn't a side note, I just wanted to go for the trifecta of Notes.

Æ.

P.S. I reserve the right to do more David/Dave posts, but only if they are going to be monumental. If I would of played my cards right, that previous statement could have been my side note.

I've just legally changed my name to Dave Goodlove. Now all of my comment quotes are available...just cite your own blog! Your welcome!

Now, I realize that I play the self-centered, know-it-all, handsome role on this blog but there is a softer side to me. I went to the Happiness Project yesterday and there is a 1 minute happiness project movie clip that really touched me...bring tissue if you view it.

Also, Julia Alison posted her lip dub collection on her main blog. Her little mermaid clip is equally touching...bring tissue if you view it. My fav is her Joy to the World 360 spin.

I just love you guys!

I always loved when Dave would yell at the Chipmunks and they would reply with a questioning lilt, "Yes, Dave?"
