Sun Valley, Idaho

Does anyone frequent Sun Valley, Idaho? I'm going there for a story next weekend and I'll have a little bit of time to kill at the beginning, although I plan to spend that time getting lost on the drive from the airport to the hotel. Maybe I'll fall off the side of a mountain! Anyway, if there's anything you guys know of that I should make sure check out, let me know.

Quote of the Idaho:

As a BOise native, there are rules
to follow in my group called Mr. Potato Club:

(First Rule) You don't talk about Mr Potato Club.

(2nd rule) You don't talk about Mr Potato Club
nor Mr. Potato himself, his moustache,or the upcoming TOY Story 3 coming 2009.

(3rd) If you ever dare stomp or peel on any potato without watching your step, the fight and your club membership is over.

(4th) Only two Potatoes to a fight.

(5th) One Mash at a time.

(6th)They fight without gravy or coleslaw.

(7)The baking go on as long as they have to.

(8)If this is your first night at Mr. Potato Club and you so happened to be a girl (like Bill Schultz), your gonna have to eat the longest and slimmest potato from the harvest before the rest of us.

I've never been to Sun Valley, but I hear it's a great place. I don't think I've even been to Idaho. At the company where I used to work, we had customers in all 50 states, but only a few in Idaho.

It will be interesting hearing your impressions of Sun Valley. What's that? You're going to bring yor camera and may post a picture or two? Great idea!!

For about 5 years I traveled a lot installing computer systems around the country. I usually stayed at fairly average hotels and motels, but one time I stayed at a fantastic hotel in Miami. The customer was located in Miami Beach, and I think they had a contract with the hotel for reduced rates. Anyway, the room I had was on one of the top floors with an awesome view of Biscayne Bay. It helped make up for the idiot manager I had to work with there :o)

Page Six - amazing article about the woman who became a gambling addict, lost everything she had and is now suing the casinos for $20 million. I heard about her on the new, but the article has a lot more of the details.

I wonder what will happen to her. The casinos will probably settle out of court for a lot less, but she'll be lucky if she doesn't end up in jail for stealing from her customers. You just can't do that - gambling addiction or not.

A good story about NYC massage parlors too. Did you see this article in the news this week? tinyurl.com/5qwudm

Alison, the end of the ski season party is on Saturdat the 19th at Apples Bar & Grill. That should be fun. It's a great area for hiking. Sun Valley is the oldest ski resort in the country.
