relationships

You know when you're in the beginning stages of a really intense new relationship and you can barely bring yourself to spend time apart because it just feels wrong somehow–like your whole being is rebelling against the separation but you do it anyway because some part of you knows you need to even if it's not what you want? Well today I drank Vanilla Nut flavored coffee instead of my beloved Mocha Fudge Nut coffee. I'm not going to lie, it felt weird. I kept reaching mindlessly for my cup of Mocha Nut Fudge flavored coffee only to get jolted out of my reverie—where did you go?—by this Vanilla Nut stranger. Vanilla Nut doesn't know how I like to watch bad 80s comedies over and over again or that my first dog's name was Woofie or that I've never been to Disneyland. It's not true—I have—but Vanilla Nut doesn't know that, how could he/she? You know?

I totally know what you saying...I've always liked a variety myself! However, lately, the Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte has been intriguing...but does it really replace my fondness for Skinny Vanilla Latte? I think not!

When I'm really in a crazy mood, the Iced White Chocolate Moca goes down smooth but isn't very filling. I've found I'm a bit to old to handle the Blueberries & Crème Frappuccino Blended Crème but there will always be a fondness in my heart for that one.

A few months ago, I found this new coffee shop that is really far away and they sell a special White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino Light Blended Coffee that is out of my price range. I'm curious if this one tastes good with whip cream or not! I think it would!

God, I'm not a coffee drinker but analogies can be fun! Screw all this coffee talk, I'm going to Disneyland!

I get my coffee through an IV drip. So I don't know about all the new flavors. It's kind of annoying dragging that pole around all day. But you can speed up the intake and get a good jolt when you need it.
One day the right surgical procedure will help me. I will know what food and drink taste like again. Lesson learned. Wolverines don't like to be nuzzled.

Try a Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee next time and you may just forget about Mocha Nut Fudge AND Vanilla Nut!

I see a nut pattern here with you..

So does Mocha Nut Fudge know you're tasting Vanilla Nut behind his back? Just ask yourself... are you really being fair to either one of them? Or to yourself? Do you really want to find yourself in the middle of a steamy coffee triangle?

Yes, I suppose it's normal to be attracted to a new sexy flavor or the latest "aroma of the month," but you know in your heart you'll always return to your first love.

I'm worried if you don't come to your senses soon, you might wake up some morning in a cheap, run-down, sleezy coffee shop somewhere on the lower east side, sadly reflecting back on your life - and what might have been...

Oh Alison, sometimes I feel like I don't know you anymore. Please wake up and smell the coffee!!

The only fair thing to do is just tell the mocha nut fudge that you need to see other coffee's. The "It's not you, it's me," talk. If the mocha nut really cares about you, it will set you free in the hopes that you'll come right back. And you will. Because the mocha nut gives you that special warm feeling inside. You know, because it's hot coffee.

Way off topic here, but I really have a strong liking for the new
"25 year anniversary remix" of the song by Hank Williams Jr. "A Country Boy Can Survive." Surprisingly, this gets me pumped up equally as some of my fav. hip-hop songs.

Side-bar* I'm feeling under the weather. Yesterday and today I woke up with a sore throat. It's not a full blow sickness, but I feel drained and crabby. I think Ted got me sick from our bro hug. I haven't been sick for over 3 yrs. So I'm not sure how to handle it. I'm one of those wimpy guys that thinks the world should stop just because I'm sick. Instead of being like a "mean drunk", I'm a "wimpy sick person." Typical male stuff. On the flip-side of that, my inner cockiness thinks that I can just "will" it away.

Michael - I hope you feel better! Here in the Northeast we're dealing with a nasty winter storm.

Getting back to the main issue, I'm not sure there's enough room in Alison's life for 2 different coffees. She strikes me as a "one coffee woman," and she needs to decide - either Mocha Nut Fudge or Vanilla Nut.

But I understand her dilemma. Many believe it's not possible to love 2 coffees at the same time, but I know for a fact it is. Yes, I have to admit I too went through a similar period in my life. A very confusing and troubling period. I wasn't sure where to turn or even who to trust.

Then one tragic day it all blew up in my face. I was caught in my own web of lies and deception. Worst of all, I had betrayed those I loved most. Suddenly I found myself... coffeeless.

I beg you Alison, put an end to it before it destroys you!

Way off the beaten path here. You would think after 16 yrs of friendship, I wouldn't call my best-friend during "Charmed." Yeah, the same one who likes Jeopardy. It was like I committed a cardnial sin. Ohhhh yeah, he retaliates. He knows my fav. shows and when they come on and he'll call. It's like a battle of wills. Naw, it ain't all that. We have fun with it. He wanted me to go crawfishing with him this weekend, but I told him I couldn't because I have to stay home and wash my hair. Boy, if I had a nickel everytime I heard that one.

Vanilla Nut knows, the little tramp / player. He/she just doesn't care about you relationship with Mocha Nut Fudge. VNF is unhappy and just wants to ruin your current relationship. Beware of anything vanilla, they find their way into everything. Mark my words - why do people say that? Anyway, just watch out.
