If you have to spill something

on your wood floors, I don't recommend cough syrup. I recommend diet soda, preferably a clear diet soda like diet 7-up or diet sierra mist or sprite zero. Fresca too, if you're in a pinch and simply must spill something.

Well, I didn't think I could hold my breath this long...but fortunately I always amaze myself! Glad your posting again!!! Sounds like you've been sick! :( or you just have an addiction to cough syrup. Either way you should get help for that!

We missed you here in blogland!

Messy. Probably better on a wood floor than carpeting though.

I have a coffee stain on the light colored carpet in the middle of my living room, and it bugs the hell out of me because otherwise the carpeting is in good shape. I tried putting a coaster over it, but that doesn't seem to help much. I'm thinking about putting a shelf there...

Funniest quote of the weekend - a reporter asked Mike Huckabee why he's staying in the Presidential race and he said, "I have nothing else to do." :o)

Holy crap, it's cold here today! Officially it's 10 degrees right now and the wind chill is -5. The wind is really gusting though, so I think it's worse than that. Ted, can I borrow your hat???

You people living in the south should be glad. And by "south" I mean anything below the northern Massachuettes border.

Joe the weather here is beautiful...should hit 70 degrees today. I'll send my beanie cap immediately! Don't tell Alison, I know she had wanted it. Stay warm!

My optometrist prescribed me glasses to wear when I use the computer. This is the first time in my life I've worn glasses. The words look so BIG now.

Isn't this "big ups" to Wendy day?

Alison, now if you would have had a little puppy, it would have cleaned that spill up for you in a jif. Of course you may have had to have it's stomach pumped, and it may have hallucinated, but that is the joy of puppy ownership. It's give and take. You can't expect a whole lot out of Fred, he just likes to sit there and look pretty. But seriously, if you're under the weather, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Alot of people are sick down here too. I Blame It On The Rain, and El Nino' as well. Uh huh, just when you thought El Nino' was dead and gone. I just resurrected it.

Joe, you are right, it's kinda good weather down here in the durty. It's 65 right now. Yesterday I was outside with shorts on grilling steaks. No one really pays attention to the weather people anymore. They just get it in the ballpark. We just keep an Umbrella ella ella ella ay ay,(sorry, a Rhianna song just popped in my head.) handy.

Michael, you retired AE? Crap, I was just planning on changing my screen name because of you! I had it narrowed down to The Disco Albino and Mr. Vain. Now, I'm going to forget the whole idea.

Alison, when you feel better, could you post another 4 Truths and a Lie or another work assignment? My new promotion as the shift salad bar manager isn't intellectually stimulating enough!

Ha! Mr. Vain sounds like a porn-star's name. Nice one. Waaay better than Dirk Diggler.

And now some useless Random Thoughts by Jack Handy:

This is more of a gripe than anything, but, I hate it when hot girls think that they are so hot that they can get away with burping loudly and things of the like. I guess this comes from me watching My Fair Brady, Baby Maybe. Call me old fashioned, call me Big Poppa, but Don't Call Me Daughter. It wasn't cool when Jenny McCarthy did it back then, and it's not cool now. Jenny is hot, but I'll never get some of those disgusting things out of my head.

Another random thought. I was watching Jaw Breaker the other night, I've seen it a bunch, and I saw Jeff Conoway playing the father of one of the girls. This was back in 99'. He looked so good and healthy. I hope he can get back to that. On a side note*, I watch it because it has Rose McGowan in the movie. I love her man, no really, I love her. I don't think you understand, I loooove her. Okay, I just slapped myself.

I work with some people in Miami why always ask me what the temp is here. Then they laugh and tell me it's 80 or so where they are - or how they went to the beach over the weekend.

I (kiddingly) remind them that we don't have hurricanes or tornados up here - and it's a lot easier shoveling your sidewalk than replacing your roof.

It's so funny when they tell me it's in the 60s there and everyone's wearing heavy coats. Where I am, people are out walking around in T-shirts and shorts when it's in the 50s.

Dirk! LOL I don't think the book reading is until 7:00 PM (EST), Julia Alison emailed me and will be doing a lip dub to James Blunt's "Your Beautiful" from the event.

Joe, Don't worry, in a couple of months you can laugh your ass off at me when the temp. here is 118 degrees! :(

Since, I'm not a mixed drink type person I only scored 76% Lush on this game...see how you fare:

I just scored a 67% on the booze thingie. I'm officially a social drinker. Which I can't argue with that. My personal fave is Long Island Iced Tea, and Capt. Morgan's with Red Bull, but I haven't had a drink in months. Not because I'm an alcoholic, I just don't like drinking all that much.

P.S. Ted, you're like the TMZ of The Alison's cafe blog. Pretty cool!

I just read the Greg-a-logue. I have to say it was quite disturbing. Thank goodness for Greg, because he has the platform to actually say what most of us are thinking. I saw Bill Maher on Larry King the other night, and I have to say, he is a frightening man to watch. I pretty much had to change it quickly due to all the hatred that was spewing out of his mouth. So here's to Bill Maher, *I'm flipping him the bird while miraculously typing at the same time.*

On a much, much brighter note, I saw where Salt N' Pepa is going to be on tonight. If I had my druthers, I wish they would have been on the night you are on Alison. It just would have made sense. But it's all good.

ROFL, Well I say lets gossip bitches! Actually I get all my 411 from Shira's mobile blogs (their fabulous)! I think the lower your game score the better off you are Michael!

Ok, so this is BIG! In between work, surfing the net & reading Leadership Secrets of Atilla the Hun, I came up with a brilliant project idea. I can't pull it off but I know Alison could! I'm going to draft this one up for you Ali! You can thank me after your rich and famous!

All of us RosenFans eagerly await the Queen's return!!

Here's another funny quote I heard today. On Fox, Jane Skinner asked Haley Barber (Mississippi governor) the question politicians are already getting tired of. She asked him whether he would accept the vice presidental slot (with McCain.)

Barber replied, "Well, I've never turned down a position I haven't been offered."

To all the sickly people, might I recommend going to the Dr. and ask for Tussinex. I'm not recommending taking more than you're supposed to, but if you just so happen to, by mistake of course, It's akin to Toad lickin', but without the Toad lickin' part. I'm only concerned about your well-being of course. Just take the recommended amount. C.B.S. cares.
